I do believe this game carries part of the essence that racing games (and many others, specially sports related games) lost during the last 10 to 15 years because of heavy monetization and DLCs. The driving feels quite decent (as it should, since the driving models are pretty well figured out by this time and age) but all the content is there, no paywalls involved (for now, at least). I expect more cars and tracks in future updates, but even if they didn't this game has enough to satisfy that night racing itch.
Progression is a bit slow though, and figuring out who to run next before having to upgrade parts or purchasing a new car may be tedious but it is also part of the fun of this game, in a way. I did not complete all the content this game has for now, but I expect to come back to it in a few weeks
