This game made me scream 5 times in it's entirety (7 hours).
I wouldn't say this is a hard game, but it's challenging from time to time, especially at the end of it. Even though I unlocked the Save Game+ mode and the Hard Core mode, I've already uninstalled the game.
I wouldn't waste my time since i played for the storytelling that this game offers which is wonderful, and makes you want to know what is going to happen next.
No problems whatsoever with gameplay. Great OST. Graphically it's ok even to the date.
Anyway, I'd say both Dead Space 1 and 2 are masterpieces of the survival horror genre.
